
Far Western University Central Office is set to organize the second international conference. The university will be hosting the conference starting Friday. During a press conference held on Thursday, it was announced that the international conference will take place over three days, from Magh 25 to 27.

Why The Conference ?
Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Far Western University, Prof. Dr. Kishan Datt Bhatt, stated that after successfully completing the First international conference, the second one is also being organized at the central campus. According to him, the conference, starting on Friday, will bring together professors and experts from 13 countries working in various academic research fields to exchange knowledge and experiences. “We aim to expand our global network,” he said. “The topics raised in the conference and the exchange of knowledge will provide us with new learning opportunities.”
Dr. Bhatt, who is also the program coordinator, mentioned that experts from 14 countries will present research papers on eight different subjects, including society, science and technology, agriculture, health, policy planning, education, environment, management, and skill development.
Dr. Yagya Raj Pandey, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Education and co-coordinator of the program, explained that experts will present research papers simultaneously in three halls, divided into eight groups. He added that the presentations by international experts would offer new ideas to students and professors at Sudurpaschim University for future research.
Different Perspectives on The conference
Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Bhawani Chalaune , highlighted that the knowledge gained from the first international conference has been practically implemented. “Some of the discussions from our previous conference have been put into practice,” he said. “The Sudurpaschim provincial government has implemented our plan by providing scholarships to students.”
Dean of the Faculty of Management, Dr. Padam Raj Joshi, stated that the renowned Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT-R) has provided support for organizing the event. “IIT-R has supported our program, which is a positive development for us,” he said. “Sudurpaschim University should maximize knowledge acquisition from this conference.”
Dr. Deepak Chandra Bhatt, the co-convener of the conference, stated that all necessary preparations have been completed. Dr. Bhatt further mentioned that the conference will cover eight key topics related to research, development, and transformation in Nepal.
Subjects such as social perspectives, planning, development, arts, and culture were included for research participation.
The selected topics will be presented in three different halls during the conference.
The conference will focus on the study of heritage, innovation, and transformation in Sudurpaschim. Scholars from 13 different countries will present research papers.

“Sudurpaschim is rich in geographical, religious, cultural, literary, natural, and environmental aspects,” said Dr. Bhatt. “The conference aims to study and promote the region’s potential.” He emphasized that since universities are centers of knowledge production, they should be expanded as platforms for intellectual growth.
“There will also be discussions on the West Seti Project and Geta Medical College,” he added. “Renowned professors from prestigious universities worldwide have been invited.”

As representatives from various countries will participate, the event will serve as a multidisciplinary conference. “We have arranged for both virtual and in-person participation,” he said.
Dr. Bhatt expressed confidence that the conference will contribute to the development of various fields and help explore the potential of Sudurpaschim.
Previously, in 2022, the university had organized its first international conference in co-ordination with Oxford University.
