Is it safe to convert PDFs to images?
Yes, and for a simple reason: your file never leaves your device. Most PDF-to-image tools send your document to a server, convert it there, and delete it later. This one skips that step entirely. The PDF is opened, rendered into images, and packaged for download using your browser's own memory, so there's nothing to upload and nothing sitting on someone else's server in the meantime.
Your original PDF isn't touched, either. The tool only reads it long enough to draw each page and export an image from that. Close this tab when you're done and that's it. There's no hour-long countdown before your files get deleted, because they were never sent anywhere to begin with.
Pages are rendered locally with pdf.js and packaged with JSZip. Very long or very high-resolution documents will use more memory and take longer to render.
